The average age of a Celebrity passenger is a tad north of 50. Still, while families with younger children usually gravitate to one of the above-mentioned lines with more family-friendly activities, that doesn't mean you can't bring your kids on a Celebrity cruise.

Cabins to Avoid on Ambience Cruise ShipIf you want to be in a quieter part of the ship avoid the cabins on Deck 5 and 6 that are located near Centre Court as the noise from entertainment, bars and reception could be bothersome.
The cruise lines that attracted the oldest passengers were mostly river cruise lines. Among major ocean cruise lines, Holland America Line also attracted an older passenger base, with an average age of 64. The luxury brand, Oceania Cruises, had an average age of 64.1.
In very general terms, cruising attracts adults ranging in age from their 30s through to their 80s, and you will not find a ship full, exclusively, of 20 year olds.
Princess appeals to an older demographic than lines such as Carnival and Norwegian. The average age of passengers is around 57, and you'll usually see a lot of couples on board in their 50s, 60s and 70s. As noted above, these aren't people necessarily craving go-kart tracks and ropes courses at sea.
