Are celebrity cruise ships non-smoking?

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our Celebrity ships are non-smoking.

Celebrity Cruises maintains a very strict smoke-free policy for nearly all indoor areas and private guest spaces. Smoking—which includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and e-cigarettes/vaping—is strictly prohibited inside all staterooms and, most importantly, on private balconies (verandas). This is a significant point of enforcement, and guests caught smoking in their rooms or on balconies are typically assessed a $250 to $500 cleaning fee per violation and may face removal from the ship. However, the ships are not entirely non-smoking; they provide designated outdoor smoking areas, usually on specific sections of the open decks (often the starboard side) and occasionally in restricted areas of the casino on certain itineraries. These areas are clearly marked with signage and provided with ashtrays. By centralizing smoking to these high-ventilation zones, the cruise line aims to provide a clean, fresh-air environment for the vast majority of its passengers while still accommodating those who wish to smoke in a controlled manner.

The rules call for the allowance for enough goods for “personal use.” So if you're trying to lug home cases of booze, then you likely won't get past customs (they'll think you're trying to import it for sale). For tobacco, the limit (except in a few special cases) is 200 cigarettes or 100 cigars.
