Are extended evening hours at Disney worth it?

We still think it's worth riding a high-demand attraction during this time, but just know that you may experience longer wait times at this park! The Extended Evening Hours perk gives you the wait times from an After Hours party (without the free food and drink). For smaller tadpoles, the late night may be difficult.

Even though Disney After Hours officially starts sometime between 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. (depending on the event), event guests are able to enter the parks as early as 7 p.m. You'll definitely want to take advantage of that extra time! With a Disney base ticket, you're welcome to leave and re-enter the same theme park as many times as you like during the same day. So, if you want to visit the Magic Kingdom in the morning, go back to your hotel room for a nap, and return to the Magic Kingdom in the evening, then you do not need a Park Hopper ticket.

The Magic Kingdom hours generally run from 10PM to midnight, and the event in EPCOT is usually 9PM to 11PM. That means you'll only get 2 hours of extra time with Extended Hours, whereas the After Hours events give you 3 hours of park time after the parks close.
