Taxis are an easy way to get to beaches, restaurants and other attractions around the island. Be prepared to pay cash and know that rates are always per person & there is a fee for luggage. There are no ride share services like Uber or Lyft and we don't expect that to change.

St John would be my choice, but St Thomas has nice beaches too. I like St John because it is a quiet and more natural island, St Thomas is a busier and more developed island. One advantage that St Thomas has over St John is the ability to stay directly on a beach at affordable rates.
