Technically, St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands has one primary international airport and one secondary seaplane base. The main hub is Cyril E. King Airport (STT), which handles all major commercial jet traffic from the U.S. mainland and inter-island flights. The second facility is the Charlotte Amalie Harbor Seaplane Base (SPB), located right on the waterfront. This is a vital link for travelers heading to St. Croix, as the "Seaborne" flights take off and land directly in the water, offering a significantly faster and more scenic commute than the traditional airport-to-airport route. While there are several private heliports scattered across the island's luxury resorts, STT and the Seaplane Base are the only two public facilities used for scheduled passenger transit in 2026.
