Are there flights from UK to Ukraine?

There are several ways to fly direct from London to Ukraine. Ryanair flies directly from London Heathrow to Kyiv Boryspil International Airport (KBP) in about 3h. You can also fly from London Stansted to Kyiv in around the same time, with Ryanair.

As of February 2026, there are no direct commercial flights operating from the UK (or anywhere in Europe) into Ukrainian airspace due to the ongoing conflict and the closure of Ukrainian skies to civil aviation for safety. All major airports, including Kyiv Boryspil (KBP) and Lviv (LWO), remain closed to passenger traffic. Travelers wishing to reach Ukraine from the UK must fly into a neighboring country—most commonly Poland, Romania, or Moldova—and then complete their journey via land. The most popular route involves flying from London to Rzeszów (RZE) or Lublin (LUU) in Poland and then taking a cross-border train (such as the Przemyśl-Kyiv express) or a bus. While there is constant discussion about reopening "limited" airspace over western Ukraine (specifically Lviv) under a "security dome" similar to Israel's, these plans have not yet resulted in the resumption of standard commercial service. Therefore, any "direct" flight you might see in a search engine is likely a technical error or a chartered governmental/NGO flight that is not available for public booking.
