Are there two entrances to Epcot?

EPCOT has two entrances into the park (the main entrance and the International Gateway), so we're going to talk about which entrance you should use while you're at Disney World!

This entrance opens each day at the same time the front entrance of Epcot opens. Those guests with early dining reservations are allowed entry early just as they would in the front.

The International Gateway is known to some as EPCOT's “back door” and it's located right near the France Pavilion.

Epcot is the only Walt Disney World park that can be accessed from two entrances. The first and most obvious one is on the front of the park (Spaceship Earth) while the second (commonly referred to as the back entrance) is on the left side of the World Showcase, between the UK and France Pavilion.

Doing both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT in one day requires a Park Hopper add-on to your ticket. Park Hopper add-ons are $65 per 1-day ticket, $75 per 2 or 3-day ticket, and $85 per 4 to 10-day ticket.

Yes, it is possible to walk from the back door of Epcot, called International Gateway, to Disney's Hollywood Studios. I walked this path on my recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It is a pleasant, relaxing walk and should take around 20 minutes or so.

If you're at EPCOT: You can walk to the Boardwalk Resort from EPCOT. Just exit the park by the skyliners, near the France pavilion of the World Showcase.

If you are able to walk past all of the tempting pavilions, (what willpower!) your trip around World Showcase is about 1.3 miles. Sooo, considering the fact that you may have strollers and other obstacles in your way, I would allow 30 minutes just to be safe.

EPCOT's World Showcase section consists of 11 pavilions, each representing a different country. The pavilions are situated around a 1.2-mile promenade surrounding the picturesque World Showcase Lagoon. It's a wonderful way to spend the afternoon — or longer — exploring the world without leaving Florida!

As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We would recommend visiting on a Wednesday during the festivals mentioned above.

So when should you visit for the lowest crowds, generally? Go on a Wednesday! Fewer guests head to EPCOT mid-week and you can hopefully then walk up to the festival booths without having to wait in long lines. As a bonus tip — make sure to visit the festival booths early in the day.

Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon lagoon all change an entrance fee. Disney Springs and all the Resort Hotels are free to look around. Avanti resort is on I drive and has free shuttles to disney.
