Are Zugspitze tickets refundable?

Will I be refunded the ticket price? A refund for not using the ticket for personal reasons is not possible. If you are unable to travel due to illness, please send a doctor's certificate to [email protected]. Please also include your full name and ticket number(s).

The Ticket Zugspitze includes one ascent and one descent. The ticket can also be used for the Zugspitze Round Trip with the cogwheel train, the Gletscherbahn cable car and the Cable car Zugspitze. The 2 peak pass includes a Ticket Zugspitze and a Garmisch-Classic ticket.

Tickets are usually still available at the ticket counters on site. However, the daily quota may be exhausted, especially on fair-weather days, weekends and during public holidays. We therefore recommend buying tickets in our online shop in advance if possible. Does an online ticket include a seat reservation?

I really enjoyed it and was a highlight for me. Yes it's Just a cable car up the mountain but I was there on a clear day and the views were awesome. Being able to sit and have a couple Biers und Wurst was a lunch I'll never forget. Walking around and lounging by the glacier was cool as well.

Garmisch classic allows for more hiking, as there are multiple lifts/peaks, whereas Zugspitze is one peak (the tallest one in Germany). If you're coming from Garmisch, you have to take a train (~45min) to a cable car (~10min) to get to the top of Zugspitze, whereas Garmisch Classic is a lot less time.
