Can cruise luggage tags be in black and white? The labels are colour-coded for some cruise lines, so it will be more difficult for the cruise line to deliver your luggage to your cabin. However, for some cruise lines such as NCL, Carnival and Princess, it is ok to print off in black and white.
The color coding is for location. Each deck will have Forward, Mid and Aft with a different color for each section and each deck. On our last cruise, we are Platinum and stayed on Deck 11.
Tips for Buying Luggage TagsWhile many people prefer carry-on bags, luggage tags are an important part of your checked baggage as they help identify suitcases (especially in the case of loss or delays). Always make sure your luggage tag is durable enough that it won't come off throughout your many journeys.
All Carnival cruise ships conduct security scanning of luggage. Luggage and carry-on bags will have to pass through an X-ray screening machine. Carnival Cruise Line reserves the right to confiscate any item deemed dangerous to guests or that can pose a risk to the cruise ship.
The Address of Your DestinationThey think this is a good idea because it'll help identify them further to their airline and give the airline a place to send their bag if they're unable to retrieve it themselves. But you should not, under any circumstances, write your home address down as part of your luggage tag info.
Cruise lines check your luggage to ensure all passengers on board safety and security. This includes screening for prohibited items and illegal substances and ensuring all passengers adhere to their alcohol policies.
The best news about packing is that there is no (reasonable) limit on how much you can bring on a cruise. Most cruise lines “encourage” or “suggest” each passenger to limit luggage to two suitcases, each one less than 50 pounds. In addition, you can also bring carry-on luggage (more on that in a moment).
DCL mailed me luggage tags. What do I do with them? If you've booked your sailing more than about five weeks in advance, DCL will send you a small folder in the mail that includes some basic information about your sailing as well as two luggage tags per person in your sailing party.
While airlines have restrictions on what size of toiletries you can bring on a flight, at least in your carry on or personal bag, cruise lines do not. If you're not concerned about packing space, you can bring full size toiletry items including shampoo and conditioner bottles, shaving cream and other hygiene products.
Some of the best colors for travel luggage are blue, green, pink, and purple. These colors are eye-catching but not too flashy, so you'll still look chic when you're carrying them through the airport. If you're looking for a color that will really make you stand out, consider orange or yellow.
What information should I put on a luggage tag? There are only three bits of essential luggage tag info: your name, email address and mobile phone number (including the international code). Although some travellers like to write down their home address, this personal info entails a small degree of risk.
