Can Disney Hollywood Studios be done in one day?

Yes, but only in the sense that most of that day will be spent standing in lines.

Yes, Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be completed in a single day in 2026, but it requires a strategic approach due to its high concentration of "E-Ticket" thrill rides. To "do it all," you almost certainly need to utilize the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system. Key priorities like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Tower of Terror often see wait times exceeding 90 minutes by midday. A successful one-day plan involves "Rope Dropping" (arriving 45 minutes before opening) to hit one major headliner via the standby line, then using Lightning Lanes for the rest. Because the park also features several high-capacity stage shows like Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and Fantasmic!, you must balance ride times with show schedules. If you are not interested in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the park becomes much easier to manage. However, for the full experience, a single 12-hour day is sufficient if you are willing to keep a brisk pace and use the mobile app constantly.

At Hollywood Studios, things are a little bit backward. The worst day of the week to visit has historically been Monday! Perhaps it's because people expect the weekends to be the busiest, so they go with a weekday instead. Nonetheless, Monday wait times might be a bit higher than you'd want.

Hollywood Studios is a great park with really good theming and rides. The galaxies edge area is great with the Rise of the Resistance ride being a brilliant experience. We also love the toy story area. We did experience quite a few ride breakdowns in this park.

While we really, really think Genie+ is worth it at Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, we feel just as strongly as to it not being as necessary at Animal Kingdom and Epcot. But, while it isn't necessary, it can definitely make touring those 2 parks a lot, lot easier.

Rise of the Resistance can be scary at times for kids, even ones who love Star Wars. The interactions with Kylo Ren, Stormtroopers, and the First Order can be a bit intimidating. The ride itself can also be too much for some children, since some areas of the ride are dark and there is even a drop.

The Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World is the most visiting theme park in the world so one of the other most popular questions we receive is, which day of the week is the slowest at Magic Kingdom? And as a general rule of thumb Tuesdays tend to be the slowest day at Magic Kingdom park.

Many guides suggest that you start with Magic Kingdom first, followed by Epcot and then Hollywood Studios. This leaves Animal Kingdom as the last Disney theme park to visit on your trip.

Animal Kingdom tends to be the park that needs the least amount of time to visit, but you could spend the back half of that day at Downtown Disney, which wouldn't use the hopper. Magic Kingdom is the main attraction and with it's high concentration of rides, I would recommend more time there than the other parks.
