Can Disneyland Hotel guests use the Grand Californian entrance to DCA?

Guests staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa can enjoy close proximity and easy access to the Downtown Disney District and theme parks, including convenient access into Disney California Adventure Park through an entrance located at the hotel.
You can go thru the Grand Californian public areas as a bit of a shortcut, but you cannot use the special gate into DCA that is located on the east end of the Grand Californian. Here is a map with the route marked....
The monorail passes through California Adventure and the Grand California hotel, but you can't board in either of those places. You can't take it to the Disneyland Hotel, either - although you could do that years ago before the hotel moved. The Downtown Disney stop is just a short walk from today's Disneyland Hotel.
