Generally, Carnival Cruise Line prohibits the carriage of aerosol cans that are not personal toiletries. While small cans of hairspray or deodorant are usually permitted, household cleaners and disinfectants like Lysol are often flagged as "hazardous" or "flammable" items. Specifically, Carnival's prohibited items list includes "disabling chemicals" and aerosol cans that are not for personal grooming. If you are concerned about germs, the ship's housekeeping staff uses medical-grade disinfectants throughout the day, and you can bring Lysol or Clorox wipes, which are not subject to the aerosol restrictions. Attempting to bring a full-sized aerosol can may result in it being confiscated at the security checkpoint and returned to you on the final morning of the cruise.
