Can I bring a pocket knife on a Disney cruise?

A: For the safety of our Guests, Disney Cruise Line has a Zero Weapons Policy. Firearms, ammunition, knives (including dive knives), swords, daggers or any other types of weapons are not allowed on board under any circumstances.

No, you cannot bring a pocket knife of any size on a Disney Cruise Line ship in 2026. Disney maintains an extremely strict prohibited items list to ensure the high-fidelity safety and comfort of all families on board. Any blade, regardless of length or whether it is foldable, is classified as a weapon under their high-value security protocols. This includes multi-tools like Swiss Army knives or Leatherman tools that contain small blades. When you arrive at the port terminal, your luggage will undergo a high-fidelity X-ray screening process similar to airport security. If a pocket knife is discovered in your carry-on or checked bags, it will be confiscated by security and held until the end of the voyage. For the 2026 traveler, it is a high-value necessity to leave all knives, including "utility" tools, at home to avoid delays during the embarkation process. Disney provides all necessary high-value cutlery in dining areas, making personal knives a redundant and prohibited high-fidelity risk.
