Can I bring my dog to the North Rim of the Grand canyon?

On the North Rim, pets are only allowed on the Bridle Trail that connects the Grand Canyon Lodge with the North Kaibab Trail and the portion of the Arizona Trail that continues north from there to the park entrance station. Unlike the South Rim, there is no kennel or pet-friendly lodge rooms to board your pet.

The Grand Canyon shuttles do not permit pets on board, so plan to park at one of the Visitor Center parking lots.

Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 25 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through November. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
