Can I bring my vape into Downtown Disney?

For the comfort of all Guests, the theme parks, the Esplanade between the parks and the Downtown Disney District are smoke free. The smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is allowed only in designated outdoor smoking areas.

As of 2026, the policy regarding vaping at Downtown Disney (Disneyland Resort) and Disney Springs (Walt Disney World) is very strict. While you are technically allowed to have a vape pen or e-cigarette in your pocket or bag while walking through these shopping districts, you are strictly prohibited from using them. All Disney-owned districts are smoke-free environments. If you wish to vape, you must leave the secure perimeter and use a designated smoking area located outside the complex. In 2026, security teams are very proactive in enforcing this rule; if you are caught vaping in public areas, you will be asked to stop, and repeated offenses could lead to being asked to leave the property. Furthermore, if you are planning to enter the actual theme parks, the same rules apply: no smoking or vaping is permitted inside the gates. Disney’s policy is designed to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere and avoid the "cloud" associated with high-output vaping devices, so it is best to plan your usage accordingly before entering the pedestrian-heavy zones.
