Disney After Hours is a specially ticketed event (meaning it's a ticket that is purchased separate from regular park tickets) that allows people to enter Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom at 7 p.m. and stay until midnight or 1 a.m. (ending time varies by date).
In addition to purchasing Theme Park Tickets, Theme Park Reservations are required to enter Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Because reservations are required, if reservations are not available for a specific date you will not be able to purchase Theme Park Tickets for that date.
If another park shows available, you can make a park reservation for that park. Starting at 2pm you can then hop to the park of your choice. Change your ticket dates. If you have tickets but no reservation, the My Disney Experience website lets you make changes to your tickets.
