Can I convert my Wyndham points to cash?

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – (December 7, 2021) Wyndham Rewards® members can now convert their Wyndham Rewards points to cash thanks to a newly launched relationship with leading digital asset marketplace Bakkt and its highly-rated Bakkt App.

You cannot directly convert Wyndham Rewards points into physical cash or a bank transfer. However, there are several high-fidelity "High-Value" workarounds to extract cash-like value from your points balance. One common method is to redeem points for retail gift cards (such as Amazon, Starbucks, or Walmart) through the Wyndham Rewards portal, which effectively offsets your daily expenses. If you have Club Wyndham timeshare points, you can convert them into Wyndham Rewards points for hotel stays, but once they are in the Rewards system, they cannot be turned back into currency. In 2026, some third-party "High-Fidelity" loyalty exchange sites may allow you to trade points for cash, but these often offer poor exchange rates and carry security risks. For a high-value necessity, the best way to "monetize" your points is to use them to pay for your own travel or for family members, as the high-fidelity value per point is much higher when used for hotel redemptions—averaging 0.7 to 1.1 cents per point—than any indirect cash-out method could provide.

Cash-back cards win again for simplicity on redemption since one cash-back percentage point equals 1 cent per dollar spent. But when it comes to value, points and miles cards almost always come out on top. When redeeming points and miles, 1 point or mile is almost always worth more than 1 cent.
