All our members have scannable cards and in order to gain entry to our places you need to show your membership card to a member of staff and at places with barcode scanners we will need to scan the card to count your entry.

A family day pass allows two adults and up to three children or one adult and up to four children to enter one of 500 National Trust sites on a one-time basis. You don't need a family to use the pass as you can use it alone or in a couple as well.

Can I join the National Trust at a property? In a word, yes, you can join the Trust at a property. Doing so will give you free entry to that property on the day. You will be issued a temporary membership and you should receive a membership card, Trust handbook and member magazine in the post within a few weeks.
Don't forget that if you are a National Trust member you can enjoy free entry to pay-for-entry properties, as well as free car parking at National Trust car parks.
Parking your campervan or motorhomeCampervans that are used for travel are welcome in our car parks but aren't allowed to stay overnight. Unfortunately, we're unable to welcome caravans and coaches. Please be aware that many of our car parks are located on very narrow and sometimes steep roads.
