Can I get through Universal Studios in one day?

If you're not looking to spend a lot of money and you're wondering if you can still do Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in one day, the answer is: Yes, you can.

In 2026, you can "get through" one park—either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure—in a single day, but doing both in one day requires a "Park-to-Park" ticket and significant strategy. With the 2025 opening of the third gate, Epic Universe, the resort has become more crowded, making a single-day "highlight tour" of the original two parks more challenging. To succeed in 2026, you essentially must purchase a Universal Express Pass to skip the 60–90 minute lines at headliners like VelociCoaster or Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure. Without Express, you will likely only manage 5-6 major attractions. If you arrive at "Rope Drop," use the Hogwarts Express to transit between parks, and stay until closing, you can see the "best of the best," but you will miss the smaller shows, character meets, and detailed exploration of lands like Diagon Alley. Most 2026 travelers now recommend at least two days for the original two parks.

It's important to note that Universal does not even have 48 rides in the main two theme parks and these average wait times would be during the busy season but you get the point!

It really doesn't matter which one you start at, honestly. I tend to feel like most people head to IOA first thing in the morning, because it is a straight shot from the parking garage. I would maybe just hop around both parks on both days, and play it by the crowds. There are great attractions at both parks.
