Can I renew Railcard at 30?

You can renew your 26-30 Railcard before your 31st birthday, providing it is due to expire within 30 days. Unfortunately, you won't be able to renew your 26-30 Railcard early if it is due to expire after your 31st birthday, however, you may be eligible for one of our other Railcards.

You can renew your 16-25 Railcard, before your 26th birthday, providing it is due to expire within 30 days. 1-year 16-25 Railcards are available up to and including the day before your 26th birthday or a 3-year 16-25 Railcard is available up until the day before your 24th birthday.

A: No. The Railcard is for your use only, and provides discounts only on tickets bought for your own use. It does not cover anyone accompanying you.

The 26–30 has a minimum fare of £12 between 04:30 and 10:00 on weekdays. The 16–25 has the same restriction, but the minimum does not apply to Advance fares, and it does not apply during July and August. Also you can use the 16–25 Railcard on the Caledonian Sleeper, but not 26–30.

You'll just need to be logged into your Trainline account, select the Railcard type you want to renew, confirm your details and then pay for your new Railcard.

If you bought your 16-25 Railcard online, please go to 'Manage my Railcard' on the website homepage to log in to your account and apply for a replacement. Once logged in, click on 'Details' under your active plastic 16-25 Railcard, then click on 'Replace Railcard (Lost or stolen)'.
