If you're using your Uber account for the Uber family profiles for your children to request a ride, they must still be accompanied by an adult to be allowed to ride.
After taking the trip, you should report this to Uber, so that we can advise the account holder that adults can't request a trip for someone under the age of 18 or allow them to ride alone. If the account holder themselves is under 18, we will remove the account from the Uber platform.
Uber has required users to be at least 18 years of age to sign up for an account since it was founded over a decade ago. But now, the company is allowing teens aged 13 to 17 to have their own account and take their own rides — as long as it's linked to their guardian's account.
Unaccompanied minors can only use Uber via an approved teen profile in an eligible city. So in any areas that doesn't have UberX Teen or teen profiles, riders under 18 can't use Uber alone. Minors can't request rides, and minors can't ride alone in an Uber even if a parent or guardian says that they requested the ride.
Uber will actively monitor all active cars at the time requested to find a ride for you but cannot guarantee a ride. In big cities and busy areas, there will likely be cars available throughout the day and night, but in the exceptional case that no drivers are available, you will be notified immediately.

Can I pay for Uber with cash? Yes, you can pay with cash. Before requesting a ride, go to the Payment section in the app and select Cash. At the end of your trip, pay cash directly to your driver.
Sometimes a driver may not be in the area and the ride would just get cancelled and Uber would send you a notification that no driver responded to the ride. All Uber does for a scheduled ride is try and time it right with a nearby driver to pick you up close to the time you put in the app. There are no guarantees.
How much will I be charged? There is no difference in the pricing between normal Uber rides and scheduled rides – that means no extra cost for booking your Uber in advance! However, pricing is based on demand at the time of your order, so if you reserve at peak-hour traffic your ride might be a little more expensive.
This is especially true with the introduction of rides for teens. Teen accounts are the only authorized way for teens aged 13-17 to use the Uber platform with consent from their legal guardian.
