Can I transfer my Norwegian cruise ticket to another person?

Except to the extent required by law, or otherwise as provided in this Guest Ticket Contract, your booking confirmation, eDocs and any other vouchers associated with your cruise are not transferable to another person.

Yes, you can generally transfer a Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) reservation to another person, but the process is subject to specific timing and fees. NCL typically allows for name changes on a reservation as long as at least one original passenger remains on the booking. If you are trying to transfer the entire ticket (changing all names), it is much more difficult and often depends on your fare type—standard or refundable fares are easier to modify than "Sail Away" (guaranteed) or promotional non-refundable fares. In 2026, NCL usually charges a processing fee (often around $25 to $50) for name changes, and these must be completed before the final payment deadline. Once you are within the "cancellation penalty" window (usually 90 to 120 days before sailing), transfers become nearly impossible or are treated as a full cancellation and re-booking at the current market rate. To initiate a transfer, the original booking owner must contact NCL Guest Services or their travel agent directly with the new passenger's full legal name and date of birth to update the manifest.
