Can I use Interrail pass on Paris Metro?

Passes don't cover the Paris metro, or RER (express metro) routes run by the Paris urban transit authority RATP, but are valid on a few RER routes run by SNCF. I was in Paris last weekend. To my expectation, Interrail was not accepted on the RER A or B.
