Can I walk to Disneyland from hotel?

Of the three on-site hotels at Disneyland, Disney's Grand Californian Resort and Spa is the most opulent and offers the shortest walk to the theme parks. In fact, there's a hotel guest-only entrance right into Disney California Adventure (better known as DCA) at the hotel.

Yes, you can absolutely walk to Disneyland from many hotels, as the Anaheim Resort area is designed to be highly pedestrian-friendly. Unlike many other major theme parks, Disneyland’s main entrance is located directly on Harbor Boulevard, and there are dozens of "Good Neighbor" hotels located literally across the street. Hotels such as the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn, Tropicana Inn & Suites, and the Fairfield Anaheim Resort are closer to the park gates than even some of the official Disney-owned hotels, with a walking time of roughly 5 to 10 minutes. If you stay at the Disney-owned Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you even have a "private" entrance directly into Disney California Adventure. However, if your hotel is located further down Harbor Blvd or near the Anaheim Convention Center, the walk can stretch to 20-30 minutes. Most hotels in this secondary zone offer a shuttle via the ART (Anaheim Regional Transportation) bus system, but for the most seamless experience, staying on the Harbor Blvd side "across from the crosswalk" is the gold standard for easy park access.

if you'd like to experience both parks and most of the popular rides in each park, I'd suggest you get a 2-day or a 3-day pass. But no need to add the park Harper option (more money, of course) - you won't have time to go to both park in one day. For a 2-day pass, go to one on one day and the other the second day.

Disneyland is great for kids over the age of 7. So if you have 4 kids, 2 of which are under 7, you may have to watch which rides you can do. For my family, this meant that my oldest two (ages 9 and 10) could ride rides together while an adult rode with the younger kids (ages 2, 4, and 6).
