In order to earn SkyMiles, the first step is to enroll in the SkyMiles program. The account is free and anyone can sign up. If under the age of 13, a parent or guardian will have to register. Signing up is a no-brainer as earned SkyMiles do not expire, so even if you're an infrequent flyer, every little bit can add up.
