Can kids ride the Harry Potter ride?

The 7 year old we went with loved it, my 8 year old was ok with it and my 10 year old loved it too. They did it many, many times. She can walk through the whole line and see everything then sit in child swap area while others ride if she changes her mind. The height requirement is 48 inches.
