Can normal people get a black card?

And, like most credit cards, anyone can apply for the Mastercard® Black Card™* without waiting for an invitation, which gives this card far less prestige than the Centurion® Card from American Express*.

If by "Black Card" you mean the American Express Centurion Card, the answer for a "normal" person is almost certainly no. It is an invitation-only card reserved for ultra-high-net-worth individuals who typically spend and pay off at least $250,000 to $500,000 per year on their other American Express cards. There is no public application process. However, if you mean the Mastercard Black Card (issued by Luxury Card), then yes, any "normal" person with a good to excellent credit score (usually 700+) and the ability to pay the $495 annual fee can apply. While the Mastercard version is made of black-PVD-coated stainless steel and looks prestigious, it does not carry the same "mythical" status or the extreme $10,000 initiation fee of the Amex Centurion. For most people, a "Premium" card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Platinum offers better rewards for a similar "prestige" feel.
