Can they touch you at Universal Halloween Horror Night?

There are hundreds of scare actors all over the theme park as well as in the houses, all of which are made to terrify guests. That being said, they do not even touch guests, and guests are not ever supposed to touch them.

At Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), the official policy is that scare actors are strictly forbidden from intentionally touching guests, and guests are equally forbidden from touching the actors. The performers are highly trained to get as close as possible to your personal space to deliver a scare without making physical contact. However, because the houses and scare zones are dark, crowded, and chaotic, accidental brushes or bumps can happen, especially if a guest stops suddenly or jumps in an unpredictable direction. If you visit a "contact" haunted house outside of Universal, you would typically have to sign a specific waiver, but for a family-friendly corporate event like HHN, the "no-touch" rule is a standard safety measure for both the staff and the visitors. If an actor were to intentionally grab or hit you, it would be a violation of their employment terms.
