Can veterans use the USO in Orlando Airport?

USO airport locations work on a space available basis. Current U.S. military (Active, Guard, Reserve, Retired) have priority. Then Retired Military and last veterans. If a location is at or near capacity the later categories will be restricted.

Access to the USO Center at Orlando International Airport (MCO) is primarily restricted to currently serving military personnel and their dependents, as well as military retirees. According to the universal USO admissions policy in 2026, "veterans" who did not serve the full term to reach retirement status (typically 20 years) or who do not have a specific Department of Defense (DoD) Retired ID card are generally not permitted access to the lounges. This policy is due to the limited capacity and resources of the centers, which are prioritized for active-duty members who are in the midst of PCS moves or deployments. However, there are two notable exceptions: Gold Star Families and Medal of Honor recipients are always welcomed regardless of current service status. For disabled veterans, having a VA card alone is usually insufficient for entry unless it is a "Next Generation" USID card indicating a specific retiree status. If you are a veteran without these specific credentials, Orlando Airport offers several other comfortable lounge options, such as "The Club MCO," which can be accessed via Priority Pass or a paid day pass.
