Can I travel during the two week wait? Travelling is not shown to have an adverse effect on the ability of an embryo to implant. However we would always advise our patients to remain close to home, so that medical care can be given should any side effects of treatment arise.

Traveling after the transfer Some patients on a tight time scale do travel home the evening after their transfer, however, we advise waiting until at least the following day before flying home. Flying or any other mode of transportation has not been shown to have any adverse effects on embryo transfer.

The risk of miscarriage is also higher in the first 3 months, whether you're travelling or not. Travelling in the final months of pregnancy can be tiring and uncomfortable.
