Can we travel with PQWL ticket?

Can I travel with a PQWL? PQWL stands for Pooled Quota Waiting List. It is a waiting list ticket, and as per rules, you are not allowed to travel in PQWL ticket unless it is confirmed.

No, you cannot travel on a fully waitlisted PQWL (Pooled Quota Waiting List) ticket if it was booked as an e-ticket through IRCTC. If your ticket status remains "Waitlisted" after the final chart is prepared (usually 4 hours before departure), the ticket is automatically cancelled and a refund is issued to your account; boarding a train with such a ticket is considered "traveling without a ticket" and is subject to heavy fines. However, if your ticket is partially confirmed (meaning some passengers on the PNR have a berth and others are waitlisted), you are permitted to board. For those with a physical ticket bought at a station counter, you can technically travel in General (Unreserved) coaches, but you have no right to a seat in the reserved compartments unless the TTE can find an empty berth.
