Can you add people to your room on a Disney cruise?

It isn't possible for guests to see if sailings are at capacity online, so you'll need to call and speak with a Cast Member to ask about adding an extra person to your reservation. If there's space on the ship and in your stateroom then they'll help get your reservation adjusted and you'll be ready to set sail!

You can add people to your Disney Cruise stateroom after the initial booking, but it is subject to two major constraints: stateroom capacity and shipboard lifeboat capacity. Each room is designed to sleep a specific number of guests (usually 3 to 5), and you cannot exceed that limit. More importantly, even if your room has an empty bed, the Coast Guard regulates the total number of passengers allowed in each "lifeboat station" zone. If that zone is already full, Disney will deny the addition. In 2026, you must also consider that adding a person will incur the current prevailing cruise fare, which is often higher than the original booking price. If you are past the final payment date, adding a guest may also trigger administrative fees. To do this, you or your travel agent must call Disney Cruise Line directly; it cannot usually be done via the app if the ship is nearing its total passenger capacity.

Adding one or more guests to your reservation may be an option provided that the room type allows for it, and the ship has not reached maximum occupancy. Please keep in mind that rates may be different from your original reservation, and change fees may apply for adding guest(s).
