Can you be late for Tron virtual queue?

Once your boarding group is called, you have 60 minutes to scan in at the attraction's entrance. In my experience, late arrivals are not permitted. There is a second opportunity to join the virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run at 1:00 p.m. each day.

While the official policy for the TRON Lightcycle / Run virtual queue at Magic Kingdom states that late arrivals may not be accommodated, Disney's actual enforcement is often more nuanced. Your "boarding group" notification gives you a one-hour window to return to the attraction. In 2026, many guests find that Cast Members are generally understanding of "reasonable" delays—such as being stuck on another ride or in a dining reservation—provided you can show proof of the conflict. However, being significantly late (multiple hours) or arriving after the park's virtual queue has finished operating for the day usually results in a denied entry. During high-demand periods like spring break or the holidays, enforcement is significantly stricter. To avoid disappointment, it is always best to prioritize your return window or, if you know you'll be late, find a Guest Experience Team member (blue shirts) as soon as possible to explain your situation and see if they can manually adjust your entry.

Get In Line at Closing Disney's usual policy states that as long as you are in line for an attraction by the time the Park closes, you'll get to ride it. That means if you get on line for Test Track at 8:59 p.m., you may walk off it at 9:30 or later, meaning you'll walk through the Park after it closes.

The term Boarding Group is used by Disney to designate the groups of people throughout the day that will ride the attraction. The number of your Boarding Group determines what time of day you will ride. For example, if you receive TRON Boarding Group 3 you would be one of the first groups on the attraction that day.

You may be out of luck for purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes for any attraction if you're staying offsite on high crowd days. Rise of the Resistance used to be the clear winner of the popularity contest here, and that doesn't hold true anymore either. At all crowd levels, Flight of Passage sells out first.
