Can you bring a guest to Centurion lounge?

As of Feb. 1, 2023, the ability to bring in two guests at no additional cost went away for most cardholders. Now, unless you spend $75,000 or more each calendar year on your card, you'll need to pay $50 to bring an adult guest ($30 for children ages 2 through 17) into the Centurion Lounge. Terms apply.

In 2026, the American Express Centurion Lounge guest policy is strictly governed by your annual spending and card type. As of July 8, 2026, all guests must be traveling on the same flight as the primary Card Member to gain entry. For U.S. Platinum Card® and Business Platinum Card® members, guest access is no longer complimentary unless you have spent at least $75,000 on eligible purchases in the previous calendar year. If you have not met this threshold, you must pay a fee of $50 per adult guest and $30 for children (ages 2–17). Centurion® (Black Card) members still retain complimentary access for up to two guests regardless of spend. Furthermore, in 2026, a "3-hour rule" applies: you can only enter the lounge within three hours of your scheduled departure time, though this is extended to 5 hours for layovers. These restrictions were solidified in 2026 to combat the extreme overcrowding that previously defined the lounge experience, ensuring a more premium environment for cardholders.
