Can you bring bags on rides at Universal Studios Hollywood?
Are bags and other personal items allowed on rides and attractions? Some of our rides and attractions can accommodate personal items. However, we strongly suggest bringing small bags with you to better expedite your time at the Front Gate security checkpoint and at each attraction.

Yes they are allowed, but the park doesn't make filling them convenient. They won't let you fill them at the soda machine…. you have to find water fountains. I work at the park and yes they are allowed.
fannypack all the way. most rides you can keep it on while on the rides. only a few (velocicoaster, hulk) require you put it in a locker. but with a backpack, almost every ride itll have to go into a locker.
All bags, backpacks, purses, packages and items are subject to X-ray and/or additional inspection prior to entering CityWalk or the Theme Park(s). Suitcases and bags with wheels are prohibited. We recommend you leave unnecessary articles in your car and secure valuables in your trunk.
Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides. Plus it would likely fly up and smack you in the face.

Loose articles like cell phones, cameras, umbrellas and keys are prohibited at most attractions, and should be left with a non-rider or secured in a locker.
You can bring backpacks and snacks into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park areas of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, but you can't bring bags with you on most of the rides. The park offers free lockers for use during the ride, but there are a few things you should know.
Lanyard. To enter the park and use Express Pass (if you have it), you will have to scan your ticket. If you have a lanyard to wear your ticket, it will be a lot easier than taking it out and putting it away every ride. Harry Potter Gear- These items are expensive in the parks.
Thankfully one of the free things Universal Orlando offers is ample free water. No matter if you have a water bottle or need a cup of ice water, water is readily available.
