Can you bring bags on The Mummy ride?

Store your belongings in the free lockers before entering—bags aren't allowed on this ride and there's a small display, meant as a warning, of the cell phones, keys, and other belongings that have fallen out of riders' pockets. (Just be sure to hang on to your park ticket, your key to open the locker upon return.)

No, you cannot bring bags or any loose items on Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios. Because the ride is a high-speed "psychological" indoor roller coaster with sudden drops, sharp turns, and backwards motion, all loose belongings—including backpacks, purses, camera bags, and even large items in pockets—must be stowed before you enter the queue. Universal provides complimentary lockers located directly outside the attraction entrance for this purpose. These lockers are free for the duration of your ride and are operated by scanning your park ticket or a finger-print reader. Items that are small enough to be secured in a fanny pack (waist bag) with a three-prong buckle are usually the only exception and may be worn on the ride, but any larger bag that cannot be safely secured around your waist must be placed in a locker to prevent it from becoming a projectile or being lost during the experience.

This ride was fine enough - its in the dark and you go via twists and turns but no drops or inversions etc. Its fine, but I didn't think it great or spectacular. Doing the ride again backwards sounds cool, but wasn't as interesting as I thought it might be. Decent theming.

Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides. Plus it would likely fly up and smack you in the face.

For most of the rides, you'll likely be able to just leave the bag around your waist, but for the ones that have a lap bar or over the shoulder harness that would make that uncomfortable, you'll be able to either keep your bag in a small storage area or just down at your feet.
