Can you bring coolers on Amtrak?

Yes, but subject to size and weight (and content) limitations. It will count as one of your carry on bags. You may bring your own food, so a cooler can be used, but a lot of the coolers will exceed luggage size limitations, and with ice, probably the weight limits.
