Can you bring takeaway into a Travelodge?

Yes you just need to meet the delivery driver outside as they aren't allowed into the reception due to covid 19 restrictions. We ordered from just eat while we were there - from Mr Pizza and we were very happy with it !

Yes, you are absolutely allowed to bring outside takeaway food into a Travelodge hotel in 2026. Travelodge has a very relaxed policy regarding external food because most of their properties do not offer a full-service in-house restaurant for lunch or dinner (though many have a "Bar Café" for breakfast). You are welcome to order through delivery apps like Deliveroo or Uber Eats and have the food brought to the lobby. While you can eat in your room, it is a matter of "travel etiquette" to ensure that you dispose of aromatic leftovers and greasy packaging in the large bins usually located near the elevators or in the bathroom to prevent lingering odors. In 2026, most Travelodge rooms do not come with microwaves or mini-fridges, so you should plan for "ready-to-eat" meals. The hotel staff will not provide plates or cutlery for external food, so it is wise to ensure your takeaway provider includes disposable utensils with your order.
