The evening Extra Magic Hours program lets Disney resort guests enjoy a different theme park on specified nights for about 2 hours after it closes to the general public. Guests pay no additional charge to participate but must scan their MagicBands at each ride or attraction they wish to experience.



Technically, you cannot "buy" the old "Extra Magic Hours" service, but in 2026, you can pay for similar experiences through "Disney After Hours" events. These tickets allow you to stay in the park for 3 hours after it closes to the general public, featuring extremely short wait times and complimentary snacks. Alternatively, a "free" version of extra hours still exists as a benefit: Early Theme Park Entry (30 minutes early) is available to all Disney Resort hotel guests, and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours is a perk exclusively for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts or Deluxe Villas. While you can't buy a simple "add-on" to your regular ticket for extra hours, choosing a premium hotel or buying an After Hours event ticket effectively allows you to purchase that low-crowd time.
