Can you check in at domestic terminal for international flight at ATL?

If you're departing from the international terminal, you can either check in from the domestic terminal (if your airline allows), or take the free shuttle to the international terminal.

At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the ability to check in at the Domestic Terminal for an international flight depends on whether you are checking luggage. If you have bags to check for an international destination, you must go to the International Terminal (Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Blvd). The Domestic Terminal (North/South) generally cannot accept checked bags for international-only flights because the baggage systems are physically separate. However, if you are traveling with carry-on only and already have a digital boarding pass, you can enter through the Domestic Terminal security, take the "Plane Train" to Concourse F or E, and proceed to your gate. If you need to print a document or verify a passport at a counter, it is highly recommended to use the International Terminal to avoid the long shuttle or train ride between sides, which can take 15–20 minutes. Most airlines, particularly Delta, will direct all international passengers to the dedicated International Terminal to ensure all visa and document checks are handled correctly.
