Many Disney fans say that Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a half-day park, and to a certain degree, I can understand that. Whether we spend half a day there or the entire day, I do four things every time I visit.

Some Guests feel that Disney's Animal Kingdom park is a half-day park. But you and I know that those naysayers are incorrect! With so much to do and see throughout the park, my family and I always plan to spend an entire day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It also happens to be our favorite of the four Theme Parks.
Animal Kingdom often closes earlier than other theme parks at Walt Disney World large due to its dual status as a home and refuge for many wild animals that require 24/7 care.
Objectively, the best days to visit Animal Kingdom are weekdays. Across the board, average daily wait times are lower Monday through Friday than they are Saturday or Sunday.
The worst day of the week to visit has historically been Monday! Perhaps it's because people expect the weekends to be the busiest, so they go with a weekday instead. Nonetheless, Monday wait times might be a bit higher than you'd want.
The only 2 parks with full firework shows are Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Hollywood Studios has shows that incorporate a few firework elements, but because of the animals, Animal Kingdom has no fireworks.
I've done Magic Kingdom and Epcot in half days. The key is to hit up the park either first thing for early magic hours or later for late magic hours...otherwise you risk the possibility of crowds. And you would need to see which park offers it.
Animal KingdomThe longest wait there (on average) was Flight of Passage at 102 minutes. Na'vi River Journey followed with 64 minutes, and Kilimanjaro Safaris was next at 58 minutes.
Animal Kingdom is very appropriate for kids ages 6 to 12 or any kiddos who appreciate animals and nature. The park is nicely spread out, and there's definitely a slower pace here (compared to Magic Kingdom). This allows you to go at your own pace, explore the side trails, and take in the scenery.
Suffice to say, the 7:30 am Early Entry at Animal Kingdom is a game changer. Very few guests have the desire and determination to be out their hotel room door by 6:30 am, which is pretty much what's necessary to arrive at DAK in time for the start of Early Entry.
A Magic Kingdom itinerary is simply a must if your family only has one day at Disney World. The main reason being the Magic Kingdom Park is by far the most-visited theme park in the world.
Of all the Walt Disney World parks to visit at night, I would highly recommend taking the time to spend a few hours at Animal Kingdom after dark. This park is a totally different place at night, and has such a different feel than during the day. It's definitely worth exploring after dark!
During peak season, it's a different story as 5 of the Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions can have significant wait times throughout the day that are worth skipping. That's still not many attractions, but it can amount to time-savings of ~4-5 hours, which is pretty good for the $16 purchase.
Animal Kingdom has a total of 15 rides and live shows:Conservation Station. DINOSAUR. Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Feathered Friends in Flight!
