Best Time of Year to VisitThere's really no off season for Universal, but the week after Labor Day until mid-December (excluding Thanksgiving week) and January to mid-May (excluding spring break) are known for smaller crowds, cooler weather, and less humid air.
You could certainly spend multiple days there seeing all the theme park has to offer but 6-7 hours should cover the main sights and experiences to get through that you are interested in.

Yes there's definitely a difference. I would purchase a both park ticket. To have the whole Harry Potter World experience. It was indeed (well worth) the extra money.
Overall we would always lean towards Hogsmeade for early park admission. The main reason is Hogsmeade is home to two of the most popular rides at Universal: Hagrids Magical Motorbike Adventure and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
Knockturn Alley is a side-street for devotees of the Dark Arts, and Gringotts Wizarding Bank is just amazing, as is the ride. It's just too much to fully encapsulate who well Universal Studios Florida has done to make this world a reality for true Harry Potter fans. It lives up to the hype in every way.
