Can you get a cup of ice at Disney World?

Other than soft sided coolers that are no larger than the 6-pack of soda, no coolers are allowed in the parks. If you want a cool drink, most quick-service restaurants will give you a cup of ice, free of charge!

Yes, you can get a complimentary cup of ice (or ice water) at almost any Quick-Service restaurant or snack location that serves fountain drinks throughout Walt Disney World. This is a well-known "pro-tip" for staying hydrated in the intense Florida heat without paying for bottled water. To get one, simply walk up to a counter-service window and ask; most Cast Members will provide a standard cup filled with ice for free. In 2026, with Disney's increased focus on sustainability, many guests bring their own reusable insulated water bottles and refill them using these free cups of ice. Note that while Quick-Service spots are happy to provide this, stand-alone kiosks that only sell bottled beverages or "pre-packaged" snacks may not have ice dispensers available. It is always a good idea to look for a location with a visible soda fountain to ensure they can fulfill your request quickly.
