Can you get out of your car on the Fort Fisher Ferry?

Visitors are free to get out of their vehicle and explore the first and second level decks, as well as the passenger lounge, while on board the Southport - Fort Fisher Ferry. Visitors should not exit the vehicle until the ferry has left the docks, and has started the crossing.
