There are several different ways to hike the Path of the Gods. The most common way to do this hike is to start in Bomerano, hike to Nocelle, and then either take public transportation back to your starting point or continue the walk to Positano.

The northern parking area is an ideal location to park for those wishing to explore the Central Garden, conveniently accessed via a paved trail from the lot. This northern lot is also the starting point for most nature walks and is home to a restroom.

Manitou Springs is a small town packed with vibrant character, located at the base of Pikes Peak just minutes from Garden of the Gods and downtown Colorado Springs. With countless unique shops for shopping and dining, Manitou also offers entertainment and events.

There is a shuttle bus available that runs between the Overflow Lot, Visitor Center, and the Park (Click Here for Shuttle Information/Schedule). There is also trail and pedestrian tunnel access from the overflow lot to the Visitor Center and the Park.

Located within a few miles of Manitou Springs, you can visit Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in the same day. The views of both will keep you on a rocky mountain high for days. Garden of the Gods is a wonder at night.

Or you can turn the route around and start with an uphill climb – from Positano up the 1700 steps to Nocelle. Come to the fork to choose the high or low paths; when they reconverge at Colle Serra, choose your endpoint of Praiano or Agerola, then get the 5070 or 5080 bus back to Amalfi.

You can access bathrooms with toilets and running water at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, the Trading Post, as well as Rock Ledge Ranch and the main parking lot off Juniper Way Loop.
