Can I join a Royal Caribbean cruise after it starts or leave before it ends? Royal Caribbean no longer allows cruise passengers to pre-plan early debark or late embarkation for any of our ships.

Cruisers who've booked ship-sponsored shore excursions, suite guests, those who are upper-tier loyalty program members (meaning they've cruised with the line many times before) and those who've paid for priority debarkation are the first people allowed to leave the ship.

In many cases, the boat knows that you aren't on board because you haven't checked in. So, they'll remove your essential belongings and leave them with the port agent.
It's best practice to fly into the cruise port the day before your cruise departs, which ensures you can still get to the ship even if you experience travel delays or cancellations.
