Can you meet characters at Disneyland now?

While this Meet & Greet opportunity isn't an officially stated one, you can often find Mickey and one or two of his friends at the top of Main Street, U.S.A. when the park opens. They won't be stationed there all day, though keep your eyes open when you first enter the park to see who you can find on your way through.

You can once again meet characters at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure that others cannot access. The location at Disneyland is in Star Wars Launch Bay (it's usually Darth Vader). In Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure, you can usually meet Stitch or Daisy or Pluto.

To answer your question, autographs have, along with hugs, also returned to the character meet and greets, so make sure to have your autograph book ready! While some character experiences have yet to return, the currently available ones are not distanced and do allow autographs.
