Can you replace battery on MagicBand?

While you can't replace the batteries in your MagicBand, I can say that they do last a very long time. I have bands in my travel bag that are at least 4 years old! If you find that a band you have linked to your account doesn't work, you can always go into your My Disney Experience account and remove it.

They run off of a small battery inside the band. Disney says the batteries are designed to last for 2 years. I have read of batteries lasting for up to five years. Just make sure they're active. One thing thats a slight bummer is cannot use them to buy points at resort arcades but thats life. They will work for purchases and tapping into rides. But they won't link the ride photos that don't have a touch point.
