Can you reschedule Disneyland tickets if it rains?

If you think that the day you will be in the parks is just too risky to try because of the rain, you can always try and rebook your Theme Park Reservation and change the date of your ticket. You will be able to do both from your My Disney Experience account online or your My Disney Experience app.

Disneyland generally does not allow you to reschedule or refund tickets specifically because of rain; the parks operate on a "rain or shine" policy. Most attractions at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are indoors or under cover, and the "show" continues unless there is extreme weather like lightning or high winds. However, because Disneyland tickets now require a Theme Park Reservation, you have the flexibility to "Modify" your reservation to a different date through the Disneyland app or website as long as there is availability for the new date and you do so before the park opens on your original day. If you simply don't show up because of the rain, the ticket itself doesn't lose its value (it remains valid until its expiration date), but you will lose your reservation and may be subject to "no-show" penalties if you are an Annual Passholder.

Indoor attractions will be open, and the lines typically get shorter during rainstorms. But, if you are in the parks and the skies open up with a heavy rain or lightning, you'll probably want to find someplace to take cover.

You won't see princesses around the Disneyland entrance or Goofy ambling down the street in the rain. While the pre-planned character meet-and-greets will still be happening, don't plan on seeing characters just walking around. It does take away a little of the magic (probably mostly for ME!)

On a 90 degree Florida day, a nice quick soak might feel refreshing. With the heat, you also get dry faster. If you visit Orlando in the colder months and you ride a big splash ride at night, you might find yourself shivering just a bit. In these situations, ponchos might be more of a benefit.

Some parks are better to visit on rainy days than others. At EPCOT, the only attraction that would close due to weather is Test Track. Most of the other rides — along with plenty of restaurants and shops — are located in Future World and are relatively close together so you wouldn't have to walk far in the rain.
