A: Yes, the Disney Skyliner is free! Just like the busses and monorail at Disney World, the Disney World Skyliner is free and available for all guests to use. So, don't worry about a Disney Skyliner cost the next time you're wanting to fly in the sky!
Yes!The Walt Disney World monorail is completely free, and is open for any guest to ride without a ticket. Just know that you may have to pay for parking if you're looking to park and ride.
Anyone can ride the Skyliner! You do not have to present any hotel reservation information in order to get to the resorts accessible by gondolas. That said, you can only park at any of the resorts if you are a registered guest, attending a convention or have a dining reservation.

If you just want to ride the Skyliner for fun, you will have to get off at a destination—you cannot just stay on through a station—but you can usually just walk right back on going the other way. Of course, during peak times (park closing, particularly) this might be a bad idea.
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney! Because the EPCOT station of the Disney Skyliner is located outside of the park's turnstiles, you absolutely can ride the Skyliner to Disney's Hollywood Studios without having to enter EPCOT, or having a theme park reservation there.
The Skyliner doesn't run in bad weather! Having to use an alternative form of transportation can complicate your plans, however, so the possibility of the Skyliner closing is just something to keep in mind if you are planning to visit Disney World during a particularly stormy season (like the summer).
Do not go to Disneyland or Disney World without doing this one thing. Going to Walt Disney World in Florida or Disneyland in California without a park reservation sets the stage for disappointment. That's because neither park tickets nor annual passes alone will get guests inside.
Disney has extended the park reservation system into 2024, though starting Jan.9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. If you wish to visit the parks before Jan. 9, 2024, you will need valid admission AND a Disney Park Pass reservation for the same park on the same day.
There are crowds and guests will line up well in advance of when the Skyliner starts running to ensure that they can get where they're going. There's also the problem [at some stations] of guests being unable to board, because those who got on at an earlier station are already occupying the Skyliner vehicles.
You can bring all your park gear, including food and drinks on the Skyliner and enjoy them on board. While you can plan on about 5-7 minutes between stops, the typical trip from a resort to Epcot or Hollywood Studios will be 15 minutes, with the longest ride being close to 30 minutes.
Are there long lines to board Skyliner? During the morning and evening rush lines can be as long as 15 to 20 minutes at the Caribbean Beach station. Transportation at Walt Disney World whether you're waiting for a bus, monorail, boat or gondola, will usually be about 20 minutes when the parks are opening and closing.
This transportation system might have a temporary closure in early 2024. Disney hasn't made any announcements yet, but we saw refurbishment closures in both 2022 and 2023. In 2022, the Skyliner was closed from January 23rd through January 28th, and in 2023 it was closed from January 22nd through the 29th.
